Man. After my last two posts, this one is yet again about a news source misunderstanding the grammar of "thou." Specifically, Comcast News by way of Reuters writes "Thou shall" more than once at the beginning.

I thought most mainstream news sources were written at an eighth-grade level, with USA Today at a fourth-grade level. Hasn't the average fourth-grader heard at least one of the Ten Commandments in King James English?

I guess they're worried that if they start it off with "Thou shalt" they'll have to finish the entire sentence in King James English, and they don't know how to translate words like "cell phone".

In that case, they shouldn't have used even "Thou."
