deckardcanineEarly in the morning tomorrow, I and my family will be off to Costa Rica and not return until the afternoon of August 31. I don't expect to have any Net access during that time.
It'll be the second time for my parents; the third time for my sister, who studied ecology there; and technically the third time for me. You see, as an exchange student in Panama, my host family and I crossed the border for a few minutes for shopping. Didn't notice any difference.
My second visit, in 2000, may be my all-time favorite vacation, Italy 2006 being the main competition that comes to mind. Maybe I just love the rainforest.
It'll be my first visit as a pesco-vegetarian. I can't promise I'll adhere to my several-year diet, but it may be possible. We did find an all-vegetarian restaurant before (run by Americans). I mentioned this possible problem to my office mate today, and she said, "You shouldn't have trouble getting fish if it's an island." Ah, close....
