deckardcanineAll functions on my computer have been restored! I had to reteach it a few things, but Chevy Chase Computers charged less than I thought it would take them to solve the problem.
The bad news is that I carried the desktop CPU on foot for many blocks. My arms were still a little sore from Saturday when I picked it up again today. At least the route was more downhill this time. As aches go, it's almost pleasant. Besides, I deserve it for skimping on my fitness routine.
