deckardcanineLast night a woman came to her first session of the Bible study group I attend. Alas, it was our final session before September, and she'll be living well out of driving distance by then.
Oh well, at least she can attend the group's barbecue in a few weeks. Not sure if I'll attend, tho. I prefer my vegetables not grilled, and I don't... eat... m...
Okay, I have to confess: I ate meat last night. Beef, of all things -- that was the first meat I gave up, more than eight years ago. You see, one guy brought several dinners' worth of Taco Bell tacos, and I forgot to warn him of my diet. I'd already had dinner, but I hate to let food go to waste.
No, I didn't get sick. It tasted great -- even better than I remembered ground beef tasting. And this is Taco Bell, for crying out loud.
No, I'm not about to forgo all pretense of pesco-vegetarianism. There are more important things in life than maximizing my gustatory pleasure. I get enough of that.
