I've made it a priority to get to work earlier. Simply turning in earlier and setting my alarm earlier didn't work; I still got out of bed at my usual time.
The solution was so simple that I'm ashamed to have taken this long: putting the clock far enough on the table that I could hit "Snooze" but would have to sit up in order to turn off the alarm altogether. I guess I wanted relative ease in reading the clock from the bed. But you know, that's exactly where I shouldn't be reading it. Knowing the time can only make me fret about the sleep I'm not having, which makes sleep even more elusive.
I think I'll make a point to set bedtime an hour earlier in general. Even on weekends, for circadian rhythm's sake.
