(no subject)
After going to Oberlin, where it could take three months for all the snow to melt, I thought I might never appreciate snow again. Today I know better. It's about half a foot deep and still coming down. This meant shoveling, difficult travel, and flickering lights rather than play for me, yet I am happy to see it.
Somehow, my mind has not been accepting that this was still winter. Must've been the warmer days we had in January. Even now, I barely acknowledge that spring is more than a month away instead of a few days. But I'm still glad about the snow.
I wonder how I'll feel about it tomorrow. DC drivers keep dealing with big snows like they never had to before (it's not that rare). Maybe the subway will be more constricting than usual.
