Getting there
Chirpasee, thank you for the Photoshop CD. I spent a good long time playing with it. Too bad I didn't realize until afterward that the tryout version wouldn't let me save.
Turns out that a program already on my computer, ArcSoft Photostudio 5.5, seems to do about as good a job with a friendlier interface. Here's what I did this evening:
( Cut for size again )
If you think it looks too sloppy, I suppose I can put my ruler to more use. I won't do much more with the coloring, tho, because it takes too long.
Other tentative plans for my comic:
1. The title will be "Downscale," which fits on multiple levels.
2. It will be hosted by Comic Genesis, assuming they don't reject it. They list a number of free luxuries in exchange for ad placement, and they have a good mix of comics I admire and comics closer to my current skill level. Webcomics Nation might be good, but I don't read any of its comics, so it'd feel weird. I tried to compare The Nice, but their Web site gave me no clue how to sign up! Even if I find out how, the oversight of an obvious link makes me think they don't have their act together enough for me.
3. It will update twice a week. In keeping with many other twice-a-week webcomics, those days will be Tuesday and Thursday.
Thoughts?
