1. I didn't learn much about the bomb threat, but apparently it consisted of a suspicious yet ultimately benign package. Guess nobody intended any threat.
2. Corrected another audio transcript in the last two days. The assigner thought it wasn't long, but at more than three hours, it's one of the longest audioconferences I've heard. The transcript wasn't too bad when it got to me, tho there were many parts marked "[inaudible]" and I could resolve only a couple. The audio link opened with a different application from usual, one with three speed settings (how do they change that without changing the pitch?). When I put difficult segments on the low speed, I discovered that the speakers tended to sound really, really drunk, particularly if they weren't going by a script. Amusing.
3. When I came back from Spain, I was mildly inspired by Salvador Dali to make a junk sculpture. Last night I watched the documentary Dali, and my inspiration has rebounded. Maybe I'll get to it this weekend.
