(no subject)

I'm back from New Zealand! Been back for nearly a full day, but please don't blame me for making LJ a low priority. I'll look back at Friends' posts and try to learn of any important news I missed. The only international news I got was of the new pope, whose choice of name I heartily approve.

None of my pre-tour anxieties got realized. Nothing lost or missing. All I forgot to pack was deodorant, which was easy to buy. My credit and debit cards worked fine, tho I dread the bills: Not only is regular New Zealand life pretty expensive, but I paid for many optional activities.

In general, I did many things I don't normally do, such as drinking beer and lager (not on the same night). Whether any of those habits will carry over in the U.S. remains to be seen.

I'll give more details later, this time in increments rather than one long post. No drawings either, because nothing inspires a good one for me. Photos once I figure out this phone, assuming they look better than they did on the small screen.

For now, let me say that the trip was, as New Zealanders say, "sweet as." Period. Not to be confused with "sweet-ass," tho that could apply too.
