Mother's Day 2016

For the first time since college, I don’t have Mom here
To celebrate Mother’s Day. Oh, don’t you fear:
She’s fully alive on vacation in Greece.
We’ve spoken online, and she’ll soon read this piece.
It’s merely too bad I can’t hug her or kiss her
Till more than a week from today, so I miss her.
Adulthood’s done zip to reduce my affection.
