Causal Day?

Most superstitions say that what
Would bring bad luck can yet be shunned, eh?
Not so much the second Friday
Of a month that starts on Sunday.
Now I wonder whether folks
Would ever use a time machine
To skip ahead to Saturday
And thus avoid the whole darn scene.
