Among the lessons taught by Albus Dumbledore, I find
The one from Harry’s second year at Hogwarts on my mind.
The Boy Who Lived had heard of ways he acted like his foes.
He might have missed his calling, as he started to suppose.
But Dumbledore assured him that was not the case, because
His choices, not abilities, determined who he was.
(That franchise is escapist, but a reader still can learn
A message that is relevant and easy to discern.)
