The Cheap Golem

Last week, I made a golem, but it’s not so good, I fear.
Without the best materials, I gave it a tin ear,
A glass jaw, and some feet of clay. I sought a heart of gold;
Instead, it has a heart of stone. No wonder it’s so cold.
I can’t afford a silver tongue to give it more appeal.
At this point, I’m just saving up to buy some buns of steel.
