Egregious E-Reader

My work has often mentioned the Department of Defense,
Or DoD for short. The casing makes a kind of sense
But sometimes causes trouble for a software such as JAWS
That reads aloud to blind folks. For compliance with the laws,
We have to help it out with a pronunciation guide:
It’s “D-O-D,” not “doody,” which is hurtful to their pride.
