(no subject)
This evening (well, technically yesterday in my time zone), I was browsing National Geographic while waiting for inspiration to strike so I could update "Downscale." (If it's still on Tuesday's strip when you read this, it means I forgot what time of day I set my Comic Genesis account to load.)
The Powers That Be must have been aware that I might get too distracted, because I turned to a page on which the largest word was "ASPEN." Specifically, it was an ad for the Aspen Environment Forum in Aspen, Colorado, presented by NG and the Aspen Institute.
I considered working the ad into filler, but that would've been a stretch. Besides, I take pretty frequent breaks from the comic as it is.
BTW, only when I looked at the previous strip's sketch after dinner did I notice an error in punctuation. As if Umberto's old-fashioned choice of words weren't already likely to confuse readers.
