Okay, folks, I did vote. I was the last voter before my station closed, made later by my need for a special ballot because my photo ID shows an old address. Funny, this wasn't an issue in 2008, and I haven't moved since. Guess they've gotten more careful.

I skipped Bible study to vote. In all honesty, it wasn't much of a loss for me. I'm not impressed with our new coordinator, and I was getting only so much out of the last several sessions before her. More of a loss for the group as a whole, which hasn't had good turnouts since the end of the summer break. My especial regrets for the snacks I missed; hope the bringers don't mind leftovers.

I've had similar thoughts about church in general. My pastor retired, and now the services are boring, and "I'm not getting much out of it." But then I thought about the purpose of church. It isn't for entertainment, or what I can get out of it. I guess for one thing, it is the fellowship of other believers, to gather together to build one another's faith. But then again, I'm pretty antisocial...basically my mom is the main reason why I go sometimes.
