My office building has had unusual problems since I first came nearly seven years ago, starting with its reliance on elevator operators. But yesterday was the first time they had to shut down the building early in the afternoon due to lack of water. (This after two faulty fire alarms in two days.) I'm writing from home right now, because a website indicates that the building will open no sooner than 10 a.m.
As it happens, yesterday's meeting already included an announcement that the company is looking for a less old-fashioned replacement building in the vicinity. If it's several more Metro stops for me, then I may get serious about looking into a condo as my parents suggest.
