This evening I nearly threw out my PC
As it acted insensible (leastways to me).
My house had acquired a new brand of router,
Supposedly faster, but now I’m a doubter,
As recent technology takes me a while
To see the advantages other than style.
I entered a lengthy new code and then read,
“The connection’s successful.” Well, that’s what it said,
But what can I do when the access is local?
The Web’s not available; how is that social?
I soon disconnected and tried it once more.
“What’s taking so long? It was faster before.
The signal is strong, so it shouldn’t be stuck.”
I looked at security options—no luck.
I called many numbers, but all whom I tried
Either didn’t respond or were unfit to guide,
Including the guy who installed things today.
But while talking to him on the phone, I said, “Hey!
I’m finally on, and I did next to nothin’!
The browser works beautifully all of a sudden!
Thanks anyway, man,” and I hung up the phone,
And that’s when I knew what to do for this poem.
