I agree with your assessment of Dave Barry. The guy hasn't made me laugh since I was around 12 years old. I do find the TLAPD concept humorous but not enough to actually talk like a pirate. I reserve pirate speech for states of drunkenness and even in that state I only use it in extremely short bursts.
I do not agree with your stance on ninjas. Pirates are way cooler. :) But the song is pretty damned funny. Did you write it yourself? If so, I'm impressed.
