To call disasters “acts of God”?
For starters, we don’t all believe
In any god to make us grieve.
What’s more, most theists now maintain
That God does more than send us pain.
They like to think God’s big on peace,
Unlike the ones of ancient Greece.
Most miracles within their book
Do not give God a nasty look,
Yet legal forms still use a phrase
We should have dropped in olden days.
