Spot the Sense in This

If everyone else were like I am,
Commercials would hardly exist.
I usually skip or ignore them.
I find them a cinch to resist.

Exceptions are those for amusements,
Like movies, games, comics, and toys.
In truth, I’m most likely to boycott
A product whose advert annoys.

I realize that many a service
Relies on commercials for pay.
The strategy must work for many,
Or else we would need a new way.

We often complain about surfeit
When ads are all up in our face,
But doing without them is tricky.
I’ve come to respect their due place.
