Late this afternoon, my office building was the center of a bomb threat. I didn't know until I was preparing to leave. My first inclination was not to worry, since the school bomb threats I'd known were false alarms. But I haven't kept track of the other organizations in our DC building, and it's quite possible that someone's mad enough at one of them. I decided not to dawdle on my way out.
The main doors were blocked by yellow tape. A guard escorted me to an exit I never knew and gave me a handful of options for where to go from there, the main doors' street not being one of them.
Only tomorrow will I know for sure whether the threat was earnest.

That could be taken several different ways, depending on the sort of person we assume the guard was and what mood he was in. ;)
