I recently realized that I've been confusing Tom Selleck with Tom Sizemore.

Which is not as bad as when, in college, a classmate said "Robert De Niro" when she meant Danny Devito. And gave an annoyed "Whatever" upon correction.

My own worst mental mixup in recent memory is probably of Noel Coward and Noam Chomsky.
