It took more than three months for me to really get the initiative regarding my Wii's failure to go online since I moved. At first I assumed it was simply out of range of the nearest wireless network. Then I remembered that I never inputted the name of the new network -- which requires a password. The first method I tried didn't even allow a chance to enter a password. With a little Net search (not even independently), I found what I had to do. All I needed now was the password, which I and my landlady had forgotten. Today, at my emailed request, she got in touch with the administrative assistant who knows the password. It should work now.

The fun part: The AA's email is titled "Wireless Internet Information." That would be WII for short. I doubt he planned it that way.

I think it caught on in the states because you can call it the "Whee", and "Whee" stands for fun.
