As much as I love movies, it's quite rare for me to see two or more in one day. On Sunday, I saw two and a half: one to finish my latest Netflix rental, one Netflix rental shared by my dad, and one I rented from the store. What I didn't realize until afterward was that they're all about criminals, tho they don't have much else in common: Little Caesar (1931), The Conversation (1974), and The Thief of Bagdad (1940).

Funny to think I used to get the last one mixed up with The Bicycle Thief.

Good choices, I was nearly as impressed with "The Thief of Bagdad" as I was by "The Wizard of Oz". The other two didn't wow me quite as much, but they were both solid films.

The Conversation is the most innovative, but I might have felt mainly grudging respect if I'd seen it alone. Little Caesar is the most badly dated: shocking for the time, but nothing new to a seasoned viewer today. I think I liked The Public Enemy better. On the plus side, the DVD included a Foxy cartoon.
