1. What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before?
Finished reading the Bible.
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
No and no.
3. How will you be spending New Year's Eve?
I spent it by finishing “The West Wing,” Season 2, Disc 2, and then playing Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Millie the cat.
5. What countries did you visit?
Costa Rica.
6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
More computer-related skills, such as in Web design.
7. What date from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Maybe November 29, the first time I got declared a NaNoWriMo winner – and with more than a day to go.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
See above.
9. What was your biggest failure?
I tried starting a fun art contest and nobody entered.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Nothing significant.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
12. Where did most of your money go?
Overall, the plurality probably went to charity. But the biggest single purchase was a PC.
13. What song will always remind you of 2008?
None. I barely even heard the radio this year.
14. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Time spent on cartoons.
15. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Slacking.
16. What was your favorite TV program?
“The West Wing.” You didn’t say it had to be from this year.
17. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Only in fiction.
18. What was the best book you read?
The Great Divorce. Another homerun for Lewis.
19. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Papadosio, my cousin’s band.
20. What was your favorite film of this year?
WALL-E. I loved almost every second of it.
21. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I ate out somewhere with my family and got gifts. I turned 26.
22. What kept you sane?
God, I suppose.
23. Who did you miss?
Plenty of friends who’ve become hard to reach since graduation. And mine was almost five years ago.
24. Who was the best new person you met?
Counting online interaction as “meeting,” I’d say ShoJoJim, as he’s known on deviantART. I love his taste and his artistic versatility.
25. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2008:
Even cuddly kittens can exhaust my patience. I have a lot of growing left to do.
26. What are you looking forward to in 2009?
Expanding my capabilities, both on the job and at home.
