I just learned that one upcoming movie is Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li.

The first Street Fighter movie came out in 1994. It was panned even worse than most video game-based movies, currently holding a 3.2/10 average on IMDb. Now they bring out a sequel 15 years later, and it's not even direct-to-DVD.

What does it take for a movie not to get a sequel? Red ink?

The only good thing about Street Fighter was that a lot of my friends got the opportunity to buy cheap Panasonic TV sets when the wall of monitors used in one set was disassembled and the individual TV sets were sold to the public.

No matter how bad the movies have been or will be, if the producers think they can turn a tidy profit, the movie will get made.

Take heart, they haven't announced Disney's "The Country Bears 2" yet.

That's true. And my family thought the bears pretty lame even at Disney World.
