(no subject)
Giant gave me a couple scratch-and-win tickets. For a fleeting moment, I thought I won $10,000, but the third circle didn't match, so no dice. The other half of the ticket had a guaranteed prize: a coupon, in this case for the uncreatively named Softsoap liquid hand soap.
I went for it, partly because I had only one liquid soap dispenser and could use one each for the kitchen and the bathroom. Then I tried to use it. Either I'm slow to catch onto the mechanism, or it's basically unusable. The pump does not budge in any direction. I even unscrewed the top to get at the inside problem. The small amount of soap I got from this direct approach was fine for washing my hands, but I shouldn't have to do that every time.
I declined to use the other ticket's prize. I no longer trust brands that need these gimmicks to sell.

hmmm
Re: hmmm
Now I feel a little embarrassed.
Re: hmmm
And don't, I think I had similar trouble the first time I had to open one (and of course, have still had a few put up a good fight). :)
