One thing I'm liking about this summer: far more fireflies than usual for DC. They make me feel like I'm in a fairyland.

(Great, that's two Twitteresque posts in a row. I don't even visit that site and it's affecting me!)

There's been lots of 'em around here too. When they're up in the trees, they look like Christmas lights

It's one of the things I like about the West Virginia farm. Watching the fireflies rise up out of the grass at dusk, and flickering throughout the night. We don't get them out West...

I'm rather disappointed, I don't think I ever got to see a real firefly in the wild yet...
