deckardcanine1. What does your LJ nickname mean? Deckard Cain is a noble old sage and the only non-demonic survivor from Diablo to Diablo 2. When I joined the Mynarski Forest Forum, I jumped on the bandwagon of animalistic usernames. "Coati Kid" was already taken.
2. Elaborate on your icon photo? In a rather hasty search, I chose Makar the Korok, a schlemiel-turned-sage from "The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker." He doesn’t have much in common with me, but he looks distinctive and cuddly.
3. Did you lie about your age anywhere on the net? Nope. I hardly used the Net until 18, so no motivation.
4. How many LJ friends do you have? I have 11 on my Friends list, and 7 have me on theirs. Like in RL, I keep it pretty small.
5. What is your current status? Unattached, employed full-time, living with my parents, healthy, and arguably decent in fitness.
6. What are you wearing right now? An indigo collared shirt, black khakis, black fuzzy slippers, and briefs. I don’t care enough about brands to check them.
7. What is life to you? A starting condition in the interaction among the individual, others, and nature.
8. What is love to you? Wishing someone the best. That’s the most fundamental kind.
9. What kind of people do you hate most? Fictitious villains with neither depth nor soul. I see no reason to extend any compassion to them, except maybe as a challenge.
10. What type of people do you like most? Good first, fun second, smart third.
11. What makes you happy? Hearing how I’ve pleased others, hearing good news for my causes, hearing good jokes…I’m a pretty auditory guy, huh.
12. Are you musically inclined? I very rarely go out of my way to listen to music unless I’m doing aerobics. On the other hand, I have absolute pitch and can compose on music software to my family’s and friends’ admiration.
13. What would you do if you woke up one morning and found out that the person you love most didn't exist or was killed? Pray. In the former case, for sanity in addition to coping.
14. If you could go back in time and change ONE thing, what would you change? I’m scared to try anything like that, but preventing 9/11 comes to mind.
15. If you MUST be an animal for ONE day, what will you be? A fruit bat might be a nice change of pace, as long as I could get the hang of it (NPI) in one day.
16. Ever had a near death experience? I came dangerously close to getting run over, but since I didn’t have a sensation of near death, you wouldn’t count it.
17. Name ONE obvious personality quality you have. Strong interest in words. That should be clear online and off.
18. What's the name of the song that's stuck in your head right now? "Octopus’s Garden." I have no idea why.
19. Are you happy today? I rarely assess my feelings for a day rather than a moment, but the work day was better than usual and I had no reason for significant stress. Good enough.
