My office mate has an audioconference via a screwy application. At random points, the speaker's voice slows, sometimes abruptly. Its lowest evokes the HAL 9000 breaking down; you can barely make out the words. She and I had to chuckle, tho I feel kinda bad for her and the other online attendees. (Yes, we confirmed it's not just her computer.)

I can only hope the file doesn't sound that way if I have to write or edit a transcript.
