On my first jog in months this morning, I noticed two things I must've always known on some level. First, I'm more likely to greet strangers when I'm jogging. Maybe that's because people are more likely to look at something moving fast on the sidewalk, for their own safety. Once I get close, it feels rude not to say anything.
Second, I'm pretty sure I say "Good day" more often than the average American. I don't say it in a mock-Australian accent or anything. My guess is that I'm inspired by townsfolk in Diablo and especially Diablo II, even tho I've played neither in years. (Remember, my screen name is based on a villager from both.)
In other news, I'm off to a good start on my Script Frenzy project: 14 full pages in 2 days. I'm not even padding this time, really; I try to keep the dialog credibly concise without dwelling on unimportant details. If I maintain this pace (which I probably won't), I'll meet the 100-page goal halfway thru the month.
Some credit goes to the script-formatting site Scripped, which is more user friendly than I'd expected. (I like to pronounce it "scrip-ED" to avoid confusion.)
