(no subject)
I didn't have my glasses on at the time, but my folks saw something curious on the triangular prism thingy atop a taxi. From the back, it read, "TAXI CALL 911." (Don't ask me to clarify the spacing.)
One of us thought that maybe you were supposed to call 225-5911 for a cab, the first four numbers being represented by "C-A-L-L." Another idea was that DC cabs had three-digit ID numbers, this one happening to be 911. But no matter the reason we dreamed up, there was no excusing the befuddling nature of the message. I hope nobody's gotten in trouble for calling 911 for a cab.
Does anyone here know what's up?
