A psych professor of mine said that children in his generation played a game called "Pass Out," where you simply held your breath until you passed out. In some instances, they would get assistance from a friend. He claimed that it was because of this game that he wasn't Nobel Prize material today.

This was mildly amusing to the class. Little did we know that even in this day and age, with countless entertainment options, children are doing it even more dangerously. It's a travesty.

Parents, please make sure your kids know they have something safer and more fun to do. Keep an eye on their social lives and warn them against caving to peer pressure on this one.

I just did a quote-enclosed Google search for my real first and last name. In the past, the first several results would bring up the founder of an alcoholic beverage company, after which would come other little-known figures like a frat guy. This time, the very first result was for me, via ZoomInfo.

I have my burgeoning company to thank for this. And it has nothing to do with alcohol.

I got a gag (NPI) idea that may be appreciated by young adults: John McCain as Johnny Cage and Barack Obama as Baraka, both from the Mortal Kombat series. The image in my head is of them posing for the start of battle, not actually spilling blood.

A few things are keeping me from illustrating this idea:
(1) I have little confidence in my ability to do Photoshop or caricatures of real people.
(2) I don't want to make Obama look like a villain, however cool.
(3) I don't want to see McCain's face on any shirtless body.

But if anyone else wants to try it, you have my permission.
