That's the image I got from the Script Frenzy site when I verified that The Man Who Was Israel had passed 100 pages. In truth, I could have gotten it sooner. Not knowing how best to turn a Scripped file to a PDF, I copied the text to MS Word, improved the appearance a tad, and saved from there. At 10-point Times New Roman (old habits die hard), it was more than 30 pages longer.

So much for all that parenthetical padding. Well, I may let my folks read it more or less as is, but it needs a lot of trimming to be a good stage play. And probably a better handling of the larger group scenes.

Just think: Earlier this week, I was afraid I'd have trouble finishing before the month ended, partly because I'm attending a play on Friday and partly because I was planning to split a longish movie on Tuesday and Wednesday (so soon after I noted my addiction, too). But there came a blessing in disguise when the DVD proved completely silent, even when I turned on the commentary. I'll get the Netflix replacement tomorrow, but I won't watch much if any of it tomorrow.

...Because I'll be busy with something else: Downscale! Against my prediction, you can expect an update on the last day of the month after all.

Yay, grats on the play! It's a great feeling to do what Shakespeare did, even if it's not quite as impressive. I got to feeling like Tolkien when I was writing Schnuffel fan-fiction, so...

Incidentally, I think Shakespeare influenced my play more than any other playwright. Not in word choice, but in the way characters tend to carry on and soliloquize and describe what the audience didn't get to see. (So not necessarily a good thing.) It's not surprising when I consider that he's written the plurality of plays I've read or seen.

Congrats!

That's an appropriately cheerful pic.

I think I've seen that multitone green "swoosh" on a corporate logo for prescription medicine or soda or something.
