deckardcanineThis month is not off to a good start for me.
First, I've determined that it's not just my home PC having trouble with the Web-FTP site for uploading Comic Genesis comics. Nor is it just a Firefox problem. I hope Web-FTP doesn't break so hard that I have to get a new FTP client to continue "Downscale" online.
Of course, I don't plan to do much cartooning this month anyway, seeing as it's NaNoWriMo. Unfortunately, I can't get excited about rewriting my bloated previous story, and I'm still not convinced there's enough worth salvaging. I've switched to the first person to try to keep it interesting, but that's a little awkward for me, as the narrator is female.
Finally (for now), I doubt I'll vote today. It's the first time I've been eligible to vote and declined. I did chide myself: "What message are you sending? That all major candidates are exactly equal in value? That you're too lazy or uncaring to learn the differences or reach the booth? That you know you alone won't make a difference and don't feel like being part of the greater community who does? That you're afraid of voting for the wrong person?" Well, mainly it's because I'd have to skip either part of the workday or my Bible study. I confess that intellectual laziness plays a part; I haven't decided which candidate is best for mayor, much less any other position. Besides, D.C. has no real federal representation, so our votes aren't as important as others.

Pretending to be female can be fun, I do it with Feloni all the time. Reminds me of a line I heard in a movie: "I start with a man, and take away reason and accountability". :)
Bleh, I wish you'd go to vote, the world would be a better place if more thoughtful people voted. I can't believe how long the voting lines get in some places; they really need more voting machines so it's less of an inconvenience to busy people.
