deckardcanineOn Saturday I helped pick, transport, and decorate my parents' Christmas tree. To my surprise, Cocoa, unlike previous cats, didn't look all that interested, tho she did drink some of the water at the base. And there's a fair chance she never saw a Christmas tree before, since her previous owners hailed from Jordan.
Sheena, by contrast, was rapt, alternately tensed up and sniffing around. Being a lifelong indoor kitten, she had never been so close to a tree before. We opted not to put any fragile and prized ornaments on low branches, but last I heard, she still hadn't attacked.
I thought of how to express her reaction via a Net meme without resorting to LOLCat-speak: "There is a tree in the living room. Your argument is invalid."
