Steven Spielberg recently had his 64th birthday. I calculated that he was my age when Jaws hit the theaters.

I have got to stop comparing myself to exceptionally accomplished people. Especially in areas I expect never to work.

His first movie-length feature, "Duel", is one of my favorites.

He does seem to lack the special skill to turn a bad script into a good movie.
