High time I announced my return home, which transpired yesterday afternoon. I plan to give the details of my vacation in a long, illustrated post like last year. For now, just a few observations and questions:
1. The airport had a flag at half mast. Apart from the London riot, I've read basically no news for the last two weeks; can anyone enlighten me?
2. Has LJ never let us look back more than 75 entries on a Friends page? I don't recall reaching the limit last time.
3. My folks' catsitter left a message that she forgot her credit card in the freezer. Yes. Back to normal for us.

LJ may be running on a page based or date based limit. How many entries per page do you have your LJ set to? I have mine set to 50 entries per page, and LJ just let me go back back 854 entries. The oldest entry was 2 weeks ago (on August 7), so it could be a 14 day limit.

(and no, I don't have a paid account)
3: At one point there was a financial adviser that recommended keeping your credit cards in a block of ice in the freezer, that way you had to think about the purchase you were about to make before you could use your card.
(unfortunately, because you can't take that block of ice with you to protect your cards while you're out, it won't help those small purchases you might make on your way to and from the larger purchase)

Granted, that book was written at least twenty years ago, so no internet purchasing back then...
