Every year, I've refused to make New Year's resolutions on the grounds that resolutions should be made whenever we recognize the need for them. Today I'll make an exception of sorts. These plans were already in place -- I have a months-old list in front of me -- but now I resolve to stop putting them all off. Hopefully, this very announcement will reinforce my motivation to do the following:
-Complete a draft of my latest NaNoWriMo effort.
-Revise my play from 2010.
-Arrange for my next-of-kin to learn my key passwords if I unexpectedly die or otherwise lose the ability to communicate.
-See about volunteering with the American Film Institute or some other group that lets me hang with movie geeks in person.
-Finish listening to the educational CDs I purchased in early 2010. I paid good money for those.
-Make something in FLASH worth putting on deviantART.
-Buy a pedometer like my doctor suggested.
-Talk with a priest. Even if it doesn't restore my faith, it'll feel good to apologize to God after all these months.
-Call my eye doctor's attention to the mysterious cracks in my glasses. (Actually, I intend to do that this week.)
This list is not comprehensive. I expect to add to it.
