The string of mental Christmas lights goes on
One thing I forgot to mention about my sick day. For the first time in a long time, I didn't feel like doing anything -- not even resting. I wound up doing something I rarely do: watching TV. Good thing VH1 still has "I Love the '90s" going. Trivial education, nostalgia, and various people's humor (not all juvenile). It made me feel better quickly.
But about that lack of desire for activity...at the same time that my private cartooning has ground to an unprecedentedly firm halt due to writer's block, my cartoony imagination has been running wild(er). I've kept a bedside notepad for ideas, mostly humor, since 8th or 9th grade. In recent years, I've added maybe one idea a month on average, but the frequency just shot up.
My primary target: the LJ community known as Paperspace. If I can muster the initiative to draw enough, scan it at an office, and persuade Kevin Pease to let me into his escapist world, it'll surely be fun. And hopefully I'll add to the fun for others. I just need to get my hands as stimulated as my head.
And as luck would have it, I just thought of a way that I might do that....

You need to get your regimen going on the pencil side!

As a teen, I delighted in being frivolously silly: I kept a real string of lights in my purse "just in case"...uh-huh.
