Introversion

Introversion’s not the same
As shyness, as is often claimed.
Both qualities are known to cause
Aloofness and be seen as flaws
By others, but the fact remains
That introverts don’t all refrain
From social stuff because of fear.
Instead, they find the atmosphere
Exhausting in a certain way
When hanging out with folks all day.
That doesn’t make them misanthropes;
An introvert most often hopes
To have companions now and then,
For everyone could use a friend.
