Tonight I found this message on a box of Boca Burgers:

For proper food safety and quality, follow cooking directions and:
-Do not eat burgers without cooking to 160ºF.
-Do not allow burgers to thaw.

Great. So the burgers are supposed to stay frozen even after heating to 160. Even ice-9 from Cat's Cradle is supposed to melt well before that. Oh professorrrr...

Maybe some of you readers find this joke to be old hat -- it does sound like the kind of thing a standup comic would say, right after complaining about "Do not use if seal is broken" -- but it just came to me tonight.

This is very late, but I can't help but be reminded of the label on a frozen dinner: "Serving suggestion: defrost." ^^
