Meme time again

Reply to this message and I'll ask you five questions. Conventionally, you would write the answers in your own journal and pass the meme on, but I'm not strict about these things.

Here are my answers to Darth Howie's questions to me:

1)Do you still believe in papal infallability?

I am now more familiar with the limits of that purported infallibility. So yes, but a lesser yes. (Something told me you would ask about this.)

2)If you could abolish one -ism from history, which would it be?

Communism. At least Russian Communism, whose removal would cause other nasty implementations not to have started either. I considered Nazism, but that hasn’t been quite as detrimental.

3)Which code of honor is more difficult, that of the Samurai or the Knight Errant?

From my perspective, that of the Samurai. But if I’d been raised with an Eastern mindset, I might say differently.

4)Is French Canada the best Canada in the Land?

Haven’t been there yet. I just know that I’ve enjoyed western Canadian cities far better than Nova Scotia or Prince Edward Island, so if I had to guess, I’d say French Canada loses.

5)Which little piggy went to market?

Lots of piggies have gone to market. Check the meat section for examples.

I am afraid to post it myself, but you can ask me questions if you like. ;)

Funny, I thought I'd replied the other day, but I guess not.

1. In ascending order of personal satisfaction, what jobs have you had?
2. What’s your favorite Earth animal after the domestic cat?
3. What’s your favorite Earth location after Wales?
4. What’s your favorite Ben & Jerry’s flavor?
5. How many alien kitties can dance on the head of a pin?

Okay, I am sorry for taking so long to do this, it's been a long few weeks. ;)

1. Which way is ascending? Worst to best, right? In which case, lessee.

-Fast food. Because I firmly believe everyone should have to do this at least once, but it still sucks.
-Cashier. Retail also sucks. OTOH, I do think everyone should be forced to deal with stupid customers at some point in their life, just to get perspective.
-Promoter. As in, doing samples at stores or walking around giving away stuff on campus. Satisfying because it pays well, so that's good, and it's not terribly difficult. But it's not greatly personally fulfilling or anything.
-Temp. Also not terribly fulfilling, but OTOH, it's kind of fun. You learn a lot of stuff, get to know different people, and get some varied experience to use later.
-Legislative Bill Clerk: I mostly got paid to look stuff up on the internet.
-A tie here, between: Admin Assistant. My current job. Because it's laid-back and my boss is an anime fan. I get to write travel guides and design brochures and call it work. OTOH, sometimes it's boring.
and Bank Teller: I had some feeling of ownership about this job, so that was fun. Also it had benefits. *g*
-Au pair: it was exhausting, but taking care of kids in a foreign country is an experience not to be missed. ;)
-Radio producer: because it's what I love doing, of course.

2. The horse. Although non-domestic cats and ferrets are also up there.

3. That is tough! Gig Harbor, I suppose.

4. It's a tie between New York Super Fudge Chunk and Dublin Mudslide. (I am REALLY bad with favourites.)

5. It depends on how well they can dance, and what song is playing. ;)

You had said that you probably wouldn't answer these, so I didn't expect it of you. No need to apologize.

1. Yes, you understood "ascending" the way I meant it. I'm afraid I never was a fast-food employee, unless you count the cafeteria duty I did as a summer camp CIT. I was a cashier, tho, for Motophoto and CVS, so I got to hear a lot of complaints about the price of film developments and the unexpected lack of medical insurance coverage.

2. Huh. I kinda figured you'd say the fox, because one of your icons shows one.

3. I suppose any place with "Gig" in its name should be a lot of fun.

4. That's OK; I'm bad with favorites myself.

5. Hm, any estimate of a maximum under the best conditions?

I like foxes! But I just like the picture in the icon. I have a horse back at my parents' house (well, okay, she's basically a four-legged lawnmower at this point; she's old and retired.) I trained her myself. I used to do three-day eventing. So, horses. :)

Gig Harbor is where I come from, and my parents are there and they feed me. So. *g* Traffic there sucks though.

As for the pin dancing...perhaps none? *g* Maxiumum, oh, seven million. That's a good number. ;)
