I've grown suspicious of the accuracy of severe claims like this. Nevertheless, it does scare me enough that I may start eating fish less often than I do now.

Extrapolation 40 years out is generally unreliable. And I saw another study that said the problem could be completely solved by setting up and enforcing no-fishing areas. The regions just outside the no-fishing areas would have good fishing perpetually.
