Here are some of the gifts that were unveiled at my family's house on Christmas:
Endangered Species-brand chocolate
A fruit bowl made of recycled chopsticks
Jade-colored drinking glasses made of recycled glass
Worldchanging: A User's Guide for the 21st Century
A bamboo shirt
Soy crayons
A gift addressed from my family "to the Earth" (my sister opened it) -- documentation that carbon emissions from our plane trip to Italy were offset thru Native Energy
My personal favorite: a deed certifying that I had adopted a fox. That is, care for an injured fox over the next year is sponsored in my name. Hm, too bad they didn't tell me the gender. I think I'll name it Val if male and Vilma if female.
In summary, we had a "green" Christmas in more than one sense.
