A local paper asked people near my workplace about the worst luck they ever had (presumably because today's Friday the 13th). One story goes, "I got stuck in Denver because I thought you had to be [at the airport] 30 minutes early, but I found out it's 45 minutes on Sundays." Either that Denver airport is understandably speedier than the ones in the DC area, or this was before 9/11. I definitely plan to arrive earlier today.

Then there's this one: "I was in Spain and my passport and money were stolen, but I couldn't get a new passport because I had no cash or ID."

Just something to add to my apprehension in the hours before I head for Spain.
