During a slow period at work today, I played an online word game. It included "creatine," which didn't ring a bell for me.

About a half-hour later, I came across the term in a paper I've been editing. Now I have a better idea what creatine is.

Sheesh.

One of the twenty critical amino acids, but only a biology geek could be expected to know that.

I always thought 'Valine' would be a good name for a warrior-queen in some medieval fantasy.

I find that the strangest thing, sometimes I see a word I've never seen before, learn the meaning, and then...everywhere I look...the word is used. And I think to myself, "what a wonderful world" not really. I really think to myself, "How did I miss that word all my life?"

Happens a lot, doesn't it? The day I learned what Procter and Gamble sold, I saw their name on a shampoo bottle, demonstrating that we read many things without realizing it until the material catches our interest.
