Ah, jury summons: one of the biggest hazards of D.C. citizenship. This time, Dad and I got summoned for the same trial, but he has an excuse to defer and I don't.

The selection process begins October 21 and will take days to finish. The trial is expected to last 6-8 weeks, so it could end around Christmas.

I rather hope I get rejected on Day 1 like last time. If not, at least it'll be a break from routine and a broadening experience.
