More word game news. Today I tried a site with Bible-themed word games. Terribly few could be played online; you have to print or download them, neither of which I will do during a down time at work. (I don't have a printer at home, either.) I did play some Hangman with an ASCII hanging figure. The site either had few clues available or did a poor job of mizing them, because it never took me long to get "JONAH" again. But what really bothered me was the message upon completion of a word:
"PRAISE GOD!!!!! The sinner has repented!!!"
Out of curiosity, I gave too many wrong guesses on purpose. When that happens, the game merely tells you that you can't guess anymore and gives the answer. Nothing anachronistically horrible there.
EDIT: Many of the games, such as acrostics, yield a quote in the solution. Those quotes are usually from someone like C.S. Lewis or Origen, but then there's this:
"As a race, we feel empty. This is because our spirituality has been wiped out and we don't know how to express ourselves." –- Sinead O'Connor
They're quoting a notoriously anti-religion celeb (she said her affront to the Pope was meant for religion in general) to support religion? My.

Neitzche was considered one of the great contributors to Christian philosophy in the 20th century because he accurately articulated what the world would be like without God. He also made a strong argument that Jesus was either the son of God or a madman, that the middle ground of him being a non-divine but benevolent teacher was unsupportable.
